Instructors: Professors J. Michael Russell and Lou Marinoff
J. Michael Russell, Ph.D. is Professor and former Chair of Philosophy and Professor of Human Services at California State University, Fullerton. He is also a nationally certified psychoanalyst, a training and supervising psychoanalyst, and a philosophical counselor. He serves on the APPA Faculty and National Advisory Board. Michael has published seminal articles on philosophical counseling (among other things), viewable at http://jmichaelrussell.org/articles.htm
Lou Marinoff, Ph.D. is Associate Professor and Deputy Chair of Philosophy at the City College of New York. He is founding president of the APPA. He has served as Faculty of the Institute for Local Government (University of Arizona) and the World Economic Forum (Davos and Geneva). Lou has authored several books, including Plato Not Prozac (HarperCollins, NY 1999), Philosophical Practice (Academic Press, NY, 2001) and The Big Questions (Bloomsbury, NY & London, 2003).
